Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Ms. Adria Lynette Franklin Atkins, 51, of Grenada, who died on Thursday, July 13, at her residence. Burial followed in North Shady Grove Cemetery in Cascilla. Her brother, Bro. Larry Franklin officiated and Bro. Jimmy Kendall assisted.
Lynette was born on Aug. 19, 1971, in Grenada, the daughter of Adrion Coats Franklin and Wannette Green Franklin. She had worked for a number of years in the Charleston Schools and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada. She had a natural talent when it came to arranging flowers and enjoyed sharing her gift with her friends and family.
One son, B.J. Bonner, and one brother, Mike Franklin, preceded Lynette in death.
Survivors include, one son, Chaz Atkins of Grenada; parents, Adrion and Wannette Franklin of Denniston, Ken.; three brothers, Richard Franklin of Denniston, Ken., Larry Franklin of Scobey and Garry Franklin of Cascilla and three grandchildren, Michael Blaine Atkins, Chazalynn Grace Atkins and Rylan Brooke Smith.
Pallbearers were Chaz Atkins, Larry Franklin Jr., Mike Franklin, Will Harlow, DJ Hobbs and David Lovell.
