NATIONAL SUMMARY
Debby will continue to produce flooding and isolated
tornadoes in eastern North Carolina tomorrow. Significant
rainfall may result in flooding as far west as the central
Carolinas. Flooding on streets and in poor drainage areas
can occur as far north as central and southern Delaware.
Prolonged heavy rainfall and storm surge can lead to
life-threatening flooding. Elsewhere, thunderstorms can
bring flash flooding and localized damaging wind gusts in
northern Arizona and western New Mexico. The Desert
Southwest will be seasonably hot. The highest temperatures
compared to historical average will be found from central
Oklahoma southward through much of Texas. A few locations
may approach daily record-high temperatures. Meanwhile,
fall-like air will be found in the northern Plains.
