NATIONAL SUMMARY
Beryl will move into Arkansas tomorrow spreading heavy,
flooding rain across the southern Mississippi and Ohio valleys.
There is a risk of tornadoes in the southern Ohio Valley.
Beryl will continue to bring rough surf and dangerous seas
along the Gulf coast as it moves inland. It will be hot and
humid in the Southeast and mid-Atlantic with a spotty
afternoon thunderstorm or two. In the Great Lakes region
there can be a few afternoon thundershowers. Meanwhile, it
will be pleasant with dry weather in the northern and
central Plains. An area of high pressure anchored over the
West will continue to promote a prolonged period of dry
weather and scorching heat. Many locations will break daily
record-high temperatures and even approach all-time records.
The heat will expand into the western Rocky Mountains.
