The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, March 13, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As a storm travels across the Intermountain West tomorrow,
rain and high-elevation snow will fall across this region.
Snow can spread into lower elevations in Colorado and
Wyoming as colder air pushes in from the north late in the
afternoon and at night. Meanwhile, showers and thunderstorms
will occur from Indiana to South Dakota, Nebraska and
Kansas. Some thunderstorms in Kansas and Missouri could
become strong enough to bring gusty winds and hail at night.
With the exception of a few thunderstorms in East Texas and
Louisiana, the rest of the nation will remain dry as a zone
of high pressure remains over the East. Temperatures can
trend as much as 10-25 degrees Fahrenheit higher across the
Northeast and mid-Atlantic. There can be a high risk of
wildfires in West Texas as breezy conditions continue.
