The Nation's Weather for Monday, March 11, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Snow showers will taper off in the Northeast during the
morning hours tomorrow. After a cold morning, temperatures
will trend near historical averages across this region,
however strong winds can lead to cooler conditions and
localized power outages. On the other side of the nation, an
approaching storm will bring rain and snow showers to
portions of the Northwest and the Northern Rockies. Steadier
rain and snow will push onto the coast from Northern
California to Washington by the afternoon. Elsewhere across
the country, dry and milder weather will continue as
multiple zones of high pressure spread from the Southeast to
the Southwest. An exception will be in northern Texas, where
there can be a shower or two. Breezy conditions can lead to
an elevated risk of wildfires across the Texas Panhandle.
