The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, December 20, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
After a brief cooldown, temperatures across the Northeast
and Great Lakes will trend as much as 5-10 degrees
Fahrenheit higher tomorrow. An area of high pressure over
the regions will provide a return to dry weather. On the
other side of the nation, showers and even a thunderstorm
will continue across California as a storm slowly moves to
the southeast. There can be times of steadier rain along
the coast, which could lead to travel disruptions for some.
Another weak storm traveling across New Mexico and Arizona
can bring a few showers to these states. A warm breeze from
the south will keep temperatures above the historical
averages for Dec. 20 across the southern Plains. Dry
conditions will continue across the rest of the nation as
high pressure remains in control of the weather.
