NATIONAL SUMMARY
As Idalia spins offshore over the Atlantic, swells pushing
outward will create areas of rough seas and surf along some
East Coast beaches tomorrow. Areas of spotty thunderstorms
will impact southern areas of the Southeast while northern
areas stay mostly dry. Temperatures will begin to rebound in
the Northeast tomorrow as heat continues to build over the
Great Plains and Midwest. There can be a spotty cooling
shower or two in Wisconsin and Michigan as the day
progresses. As the Central states heat up, the West is
forecast to cool down and trend wetter. A storm will push
farther into southern Oregon with clouds, showers and
thunderstorms. At the same time, moisture will surge
northward to the Rockies and deserts and lead to a few heavy
thunderstorms.
