NATIONAL SUMMARY
A massive area of high pressure associated with a strong
heat dome will dominate the weather over the middle of the
United States tomorrow. High temperatures near 100 will
occur over much of the Plains and Mississippi Valley. Most
areas in this zone will have sunshine all day outside of a
few showers in northern Michigan. Some of the heat will
extend into the Southeast states as well. A tropical
rainstorm will gradually exit southern Texas through the
day. New England will stay largely dry while an area of
showers and thunderstorms pushes into western portions of
Pennsylvania and New York. In the West, areas of
thunderstorms will dot Montana and northern North Dakota,
while monsoonal thunderstorms continue across the Southwest.
