The Nation's Weather for Saturday, June 24, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms capable of producing flooding downpours, hail,
damaging wind gusts and an isolated tornado will rumble from
central Minnesota southward to northeastern Kansas and
northern Missouri tomorrow. Showers and thunderstorms will
continue to bring much-needed rainfall to drought areas of
the northern mid-Atlantic. Much of Montana can have a
thunderstorm, but rainfall associated with any storm should
not be as heavy as recent days. An afternoon thundershower
is expected elsewhere in the interior Northwest. Extreme
heat will bake much of Texas, and little relief from the
heat is expected in the near future. Dry and breezy
conditions can lead to an elevated fire risk in southwestern
and central New Mexico.
