The Nation's Weather for Thursday, June 1, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms can bring hail and damaging winds in
southeastern Colorado, southwestern Kansas, far eastern New
Mexico, the Oklahoma Panhandle and West Texas tomorrow.
Spotty instances of flash flooding and isolated gusty winds
could occur with storms in eastern Montana and northeastern
Wyoming. Meanwhile, flash flooding from persistent downpours
can lead to dangerous travel along the Gulf coast from
Mississippi to the Florida Panhandle. Rainfall over the
Florida Peninsula will be beneficial given recent dry
conditions, but too much rain may fall too quickly and
result in localized flooding. A few showers can continue to
dampen eastern parts of Virginia and North Carolina. Low
clouds will start the day in coastal Southern California,
which may even be accompanied by early morning drizzle.
