Average state fuel prices fall slightly in last week; down 3.8 cents per gallon

Average gasoline prices in Mississippi have fallen 3.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.59/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,014 stations in Mississippi. Prices in Mississippi are 2.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 31.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

GHS golfers win matches

The Grenada High School golf team opened the season last Thursday taking part in a three-team match hosted by Water Valley High School at the Yalobusha County Club.
Coach Chris Klinck’s Chargers finished with a score of 170, edging the host Blue Devils by four shots. West Tallahatchie did not report their score.
