Average Mississippi fuel prices increase 1 cents per gallon in last week

Average gasoline prices in Mississippi have risen 1 cent per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.68/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 2,014 stations in Mississippi. Prices in Mississippi are 2.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 25.4 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

A tense 6½-hour standoff between a determined fugitive holed up in his attic and 40 entrenched lawmen surrounding his home came to a sudden end Monday night when Sam Seymore reportedly fell through the ceiling and then tried to make a run for it.
