The Grenada High School varsity Chargers baseball team began last week looking to stay in the top half of the Class 6A, Region 1 standings, just behind league-leader Saltillo.

Lady Chargers turn tables on Lake Cormorant

Last week, the Grenada High School varsity softball experienced the highs and the lows of what is high school sports.
The lows took place last Monday to open the week at Saltillo High School located in Lee County just north of Tupelo. Grenada managed just three hits and had two errors as Saltillo won a 3-0 decision.

GHS Chargers pitch way past South Panola

After battling through a tough non-region schedule with a 7-6 mark, the Grenada High School Chargers varsity baseball team opened Class 6A, Region 1 play last Tuesday hosting longtime rival South Panola at Charger Field. Coach C.J. Hodges’ team faced one of the top pitchers in the state in sophomore Anson Bright.
