Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Corinth Baptist Church in Scobey for Mildred “Evelyn” Milam, 91, of Charleston, who died on Wednesday, March 22, at her residence. Bro. Larry Livingston will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 24, at Corinth Baptist Church and from 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday, March 25.
Mildred was born on Dec. 15, 1931, the daughter of the late Ross and late Dovie Irwin. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Jack Milam, and her brothers, Floyd Irwin and Herman Irwin, preceded Mildred in death.
Survivors include, her children, Mike Milam of Charleston, Martha Holmes (Billy) of Oakland, Jackie Milam of Charleston and Jerry Milam (Gaye) of Tillatoba; one sister, Eva Elenburg of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren and one sister-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Corinth Baptist Church, 1534 New Hope Rd., Scobey, MS. 38953.
