Memorial service plans were private for Mrs. Mary Anna Martinez Chapman, 84, of Holcomb, who was a long-time resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, who died on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at her residence.
Mrs. Chapman was born June 7, 1938, in New York, the daughter of the late Gonzales and Gertrude Krabel Martinez. She enjoyed a long career as an educator in Texas teaching to the age of 71. She was a devout Catholic and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents; two sisters, Jeanette Coyne and Claire Martinez; and her brothers, Tommy Coyne, Jimmy Coyne, Martin Martinez and Richard Martin, preceded Mrs. Chapman in death.
Survivors include, her son, Robert E. Chapman of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters, Patricia Phalen of New York and Helen Chapman of Holcomb; four grandchildren, Megan Michelle Chapman, Michael Chapman, Robert Chapman and Adam Chapman and a host of great grandchildren.
