Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at Carrollton Presbyterian Church for Mary Alford Bennett, 86, who died on Thursday, Sept. 11, in Ridgeland. The Rev. Mike Allday officiated. Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until service time on Sunday, Sept. 14, at the church.
Mary was born on Nov. 25, 1938, in Chipley, Fla., the daughter of the late Paul and the late Jane Allen Alford. She was a member of Carrollton Presbyterian Church in Carrollton.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Malcolm McNeil “Mack” Bennett Jr.; son, Malcolm McNeil Bennett III, and sister, Lottie Alford Taylor, preceded Mary in death.
Survivors include, her daughters, Mary Allen Bennett of Jackson and Frances Bennett of Madison and two grandchildren, Malcolm McNeil Bennett IV and Arabella Ruth Bennett, both of Natchez.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Carrollton Presbyterian Church, 604 Green St., Carrollton, MS 38917.
