Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, in Grenada Memorial Garden for Mrs. Marsha Lauren Mitchell Nash, 69, of Grenada, who died on Monday, Sept. 16, in Grenada. Bro. Ken Salley officiated.
Marsha was born on Oct. 5, 1954, in Crystal Springs, the daughter of the late Dallas Ray and the late Ora Nell Allen Mitchell. She worked for many years in the Jackson area as a pre-school teacher.
Marsha loved animals and was a dedicated fan of the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Dallas Cowboys. She also enjoyed music and was a talented pianist. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jackson and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada after she moved to Grenada. Her sweet, fun-loving spirit radiated from her in any setting and she will be missed for many years to come.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Johnny Nash, and son, Allen Ray, preceded Marsha in death.
Survivors include, her sister, Barbara Finkley of Grenada; nephews, Zane Finkley and Jerry Finkley (Misty) and great-nieces, Kira and Emily Finkley.
