A Celebration of Life Service was held on Friday, July 4, 2025, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mrs. Marion McCuiston Dixon, 78, of Duck Hill, who died on Monday, June 30, in Winona. Dr. Joey Faulk officiated.
Born March 25, 1947, in Winona, the daughter of the late Mungo T. and the late Lillian Holford McCuiston, Marion spent her life rooted in love for family, faith and community. She dedicated more than 33 years of service to Heatcraft in Grenada where her work ethic and kind spirit left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.
Known as a gifted conversationalist, Marion had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, heard and at ease — a gift that defined so many of her relationships. She was a devoted Baptist whose gentle presence and steady faith were constants to those around her.
In addition to her parents, her grandparents, M.T. and “Mama Georgia” McCuiston, and Thomas Henry and Emma Marion Mason Holford, preceded Marion in death.
Survivors include, her beloved husband, Stanley Dixon; her son, Tim Laster of Duck Hill; three sisters, Virginia Blakely of St. Louis, Mo., and Jonnie Timbs (Morris) and Rosemary Lancaster (John), all of Duck Hill; her granddaughter, Liz Blair (Owen), and her great granddaughter, Grace Blair. She also leaves behind a host of cherished nieces and nephews.
