Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, in Woodlawn Memorial Park for Mrs. Margaret Elba Pace Parker, 80, of Meridian, who died on Tuesday, April 18, in Meridian. The Rev. Kevin Tribble will officiate.
Margaret was born on Nov. 4, 1942, in Grenada, the daughter of the late Virgil Lafayette and the late Margaret Inez Martin Pace. She was a retired registered nurse and had worked in many capacities at Rush Hospital. An animal lover, she also enjoyed giving of her time in the care of rescued animals. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family at every opportunity.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Joe Parker, preceded Margaret in death.
Survivors include, her daughters, Melissa Spellmeyer of Mobile, Ala., and Michelle Ash of Jackson; her brother, Buddy Pace of Grenada; five grandchildren, Ainsley Ash, Gavin Ash, McCall Taylor, Lawrence Spellmeyer and Alex Spellmeyer and two great grandchildren, Annalise Taylor and Saxton Taylor.
