The 11th Annual 100 Black Men Tournament raised its most money in the history of the event, according to president Roger Givens. A total of $5,000 was raised to help fund scholarships for graduating high school seniors. Monies are used from the golf tournament, annual gala and sponsors.
“We would like to thank all our sponsors of our events to help fund our annual scholarships,” Givens said. “Without them, none of this would be possible.”
Sponsors include: Advance Distributor Products, Bank Plus, Bancorp South, Community Friends of ICS Inc., Emi Staffing, Finch-Henry Job Corps Center, Grenada Nissan, Guaranty Bank, Mel’s Tax Service, O’Reilly Auto Parts, R&S Cleaners, Regions Bank, Resolute Forrest, Sayle Oil Company, Sunday Best, UMMC-Grenada and Walmart.
“We want to express special thanks to UMMC-Grenada Administrator, Dodie McElmurray, and staff for handling our tournament registration for a second year in addition to being a sponsor,” Givens concluded.
