The Grenada High School Chargers (8-3, 4-1) closed their regular season last Thursday night with a 28-7 loss to the South Panola Tigers in the Class 6A, Region 1 championship game at Charger Stadium.
Coach Michael Fair and his team now turn their attention to the Class 6A State Playoffs beginning Nov. 10 at home against the third-seed from Region 2, the Vicksburg Gators.
Vicksburg (7-3, 3-2) closed its regular season last Thursday night with a 20-7 win over the Ridgeland Titans in Vicksburg.
The winner of the game advances to the second round on Nov. 17. They will play the winner of the Warren Central-Saltillo contest.
