A service of worship to celebrate the life of Nancy Polina Dawkins Myers, 83, of Coffeeville, who died on Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, at her residence was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, at Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Water Valley. Burial
followed in Harbour Cemetery near Coffeeville. The Rev. R.W. Moffett and the Rev. Truman Scarborough officiated. Family and friends gathered one hour prior to the
service on Thursday, Nov. 4, at the church.
Nancy was born on Nov. 24, 1937, in Water Valley, the daughter of Hosea Lewis and Mary Paralee Langham Dawkins. She worked for a number of years as a bookkeeper and was a devoted homemaker. She was a faithful member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Water Valley where she enjoyed worshiping the Lord and fellowshipping with her brothers and sisters in Christ.
Nancy gave selflessly of herself to her family and friends, and was the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman. While we sorrow in the loss of this precious soul here on earth, we find comfort in knowing she held in her soul the cure to death, a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Her parents; husband, Clyde Robert Myers; one daughter, Dortha Myers; one son, James Leon Myers; one sister, Reba Claire Campbell and brother, Hosea Lewis “Luke” Dawkins Jr., preceded Nancy in death.
Survivors include, one daughter, Rebecca Myers of Coffeeville; three sons, Clyde Ray Myers of California, Robert Lewis Myers of Texas and Henry Maurice Martin Myers of California; two sisters, Emma Ruth Hovey of Coffeeville and Mary Ann Clarke of Crystal Springs; five grandchildren, Jazmin Jones, Jeremiah Myers, Avonlea Gillen, Raymond Wayne Poynor and Christopher Myers and four great grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Samuel Smith, Tristan Smith and Aurora Jones.
