Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church in Charleston for Eloise Mitchell Erwin, 97, who died on Nov. 11. Burial followed in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. Dr. Paul Long officiated. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the church.
Eloise was born on Sept. 12, 1924, in Charleston, the daughter of the late Benjamin Riley Mitchell and Nancy Lelia Tribble Mitchell. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Charleston.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Guy Fox Erwin; son, Guy Mitchell Erwin; sister, Marion Lance, and three brothers, Albert Mitchell, Basil Mitchell and Stanley Tribble, preceded Eloise in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Nancy Erwin Ray, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
