Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Grenada for Mr. James Keith Geiger, 65, of Grenada, who died on Thursday, Jan. 6, at his residence. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Father Arokia Savio will officiate and Bro. Clark Faulkner will deliver the eulogy. Family and friends gathered from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday evening, Jan. 9, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada.
Keith was born on April 18, 1956, in Grenada, the son of James T. and Jewel Arlene Long Geiger. He spent most of his working life in the auto parts business and was blessed to see his lifelong dream come to fruition when he opened his own parts store, KAJCP, in 2002. He took pride in serving his customers and always kept a contagious smile. Even with a chronic health condition for 34 years, he was a hard-working man and made it a priority to instill this trait in his sons.
Keith enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball, softball and football. He enjoyed coaching his children when they were playing baseball. He was a loving and caring provider for his family and there are no words to describe the love he had for his children and grandchildren. “Bone” as he was known to many, was dearly loved by his family and will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him. He loved the Lord and attended St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
His parents and one sister, Charlotte Ann Geiger, preceded Keith in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Anne Geiger; sons, Joseph Geiger (Robbie) of Columbus and Cory Geiger (Macey) and Phillip Geiger (Valeri), all of Grenada; five grandchildren, Addison, Aubrey, Tanner, Rowan and Carmen; two sisters, Linda Farmer (Wesley) of Grenada and Jane Rogers (Steve) of Brandon; brothers, Roy Geiger (Renee) of Grenada and David Geiger of Mobile, Ala., and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends that he cared for dearly.
Pallbearers will be John Cummings, Cory Geiger, David Geiger, Joseph Geiger, Phillip Geiger, Roy Geiger, Monroe McCormick and Rusty Stewart.
