Memorial service plans are private for Mr. Floyd Thomas “Tommy” Jones Jr., 63, of Cascilla, who died on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at his residence.
Tommy was born on July 5, 1958, in Memphis, Tenn., the son of Floyd Thomas Sr. and Elnora Donnette Perkins Jones. He had spent most of his working life as a carpenter and contractor. While fishing was among his favorite hobbies, spending time with his family – especially his grandchildren – was what delighted him most.
His parents and his brother, John Garner Jones, preceded Tommy in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Donna Jones; daughters, Jennifer Williams (Michael) of Nesbit, Jessica Spooner (Matthew) of Byhalia and Gina Rutland (Hunter) of Tillatoba; son, Clint Terry (Callie) of Olive Branch; seven grandchildren, Dillan Alderman, Dalton Alderman, Hayden Terry, Taylor Terry, Landry Spooner, Miranda Rutland and Amy Rutland; his in-laws, Bud and Marie Ables of Grenada and dear friends, Denny and Cathy Kelly and Bobby and Shelia Kendall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
