Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, in Woodlawn Memorial Park for Mrs. Diann Chambley Vance, 70, of Grenada, who died on Tuesday, Jan. 25, in Grenada. The Rev. Charles Winters and the Rev. Bob Cannizzaro officiated.
Diann was born on April 6, 1951, in Montgomery County, the daughter of “Shorty” and Virginia Sullivan Chambley. She and her husband, Larry, owned and operated Vance Auto and Camper Sales as well as Home Style Furniture in Grenada. She was an avid golfer and loved to watch football and racing. She and Larry also enjoyed many hours of boating on Grenada Lake. While there were many hobbies she enjoyed, nothing compared to the time she spent with her family. Her love and compassion for those dearest to her will be missed for many years to come.
Her husband, the love of her life, Larry D. Vance; her parents and her brothers, Carl Dean Chambley and Randy Gene Chambley, preceded Diann in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Kimberly Bowman (Matthew) of Brandon; sons, Bryan Vance of Grenada and Tommy Vance (Marsha) of Brandon; six grandchildren, Erin, Austin, Logan, Kaitlyn, Audrey and Ashley and two great grandchildren, Katherine and Taylor.
Pallbearers were Matt Chambley, Jimmy Hester, Scooter Shields, Logan Vance, Tommy Vance and James Vickers. Mike Carpenter served as an honorary pallbearer.
