A Celebration of Life Service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Daniel Lee Harbin, 63, of Olive Branch, who died on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at his residence. Burial followed in the Harbin family plot in Providence Cemetery near Gore Springs. The Rev. Sherman Barnette officiated.
Mr. Harbin was born on Aug. 8, 1958, in Grenada, the son of Ralph Garvin and Katherine Trussell Harbin. A graduate of Grenada High School, he enjoyed fishing as well as candle and soap making. He had worked in customer service at D&D Packaging in Olive Branch for several years. He will be fondly remembered for his love and careful attention to his cats.
His parents preceded Mr. Harbin in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Carol Lewis Harbin of Olive Branch; sons, Matthew Williams (Christina) of Arlington, Tenn., and Rickey Starnes (Raegon) of Biloxi; sisters, Diane Scallions (Charles) of Gore Springs and Rebecca “Becky” Smith (Eugene) of Cascilla; grandchildren, Brighton Williams, Levi Williams, Gage Billings and Haley Billings; niece, Lauren Loerker (Eric); nephew, Wesley Scallions; great niece, Emery Loerker and great nephew, Slade Loerker.
Pallbearers were Eric Loerker, Randy McCormick, Chuck Scallions, Wesley Scallions, Rickey Starnes and Matthew Williams.
