Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at New Bethel Holiness Church for Mrs. Linda Carol Jeffery Hill, 75, of Cascilla, who died on Friday, Jan. 30, in Charleston. The Rev. James Jones officiated. Burial followed in the Jeffery-Hill family plot in North Shady Grove Cemetery in Cascilla. The family received friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday evening, Feb. 2, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, Feb. 3, all at New Bethel Holiness Church.
Linda was born on Oct. 10, 1950, in Scottsboro, Ala., the daughter of the late Rev. Robert Delorn Jeffery and the late Parrie Lee Romans Jeffery. She was a member of New Bethel Holiness Church.
Sis. Hill was a licensed cosmetologist, who used her God-given talent to help others not only see their outward beauty, but to feel their inward beauty as well. Wherever she went, Linda carried the light and love of the Lord, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A devoted and faithful pastor’s wife, Sis. Hill worked tirelessly alongside her husband in a ministry that spanned more than five decades. Linda served diligently in every area of church work at each congregation they were blessed to serve and was deeply loved by those whose lives she touched.
Blessed with many talents, Linda was an exceptional cook, catering weddings and countless other celebrations with remarkable ease. She was also skilled in flower arranging, sewing and quilting, sharing her creativity and care through everything she made.
Above all – aside from her relationship with Jesus Christ — Linda’s family was her greatest joy and highest priority. She delighted in seeing her children and grandchildren grow, both professionally and spiritually, and she was always their biggest supporter.
In addition to her parents, one son, Kevin Thomas Hill; one sister, Mary Weeks; one brother, David Jeffery, and a host of other family members and friends that have gone before her welcomed Linda into heaven.
Survivors include, her husband of 57 years, the Rev. Lonnie T. “Tommy” Hill; her daughter, Amy Hill Todd (Glenn) of Charleston; two sons, Jason Hill and Troy Hill, both of Cascilla; two sisters, Virginia Truman (the Rev. Gene) of Opp, Ala., and Becky Davis (Neal) of Cordova, Tenn.; one brother, Larry Jeffery of Cleveland, Tenn., and five grandchildren: Christin Hill, Logan Hill, Houston Hill, Luke Todd and Stella Todd.
