Our Leos have started a food drive and we appreciate your support for this service project. Our young group has decorated boxes and made signs to place in five locations around Grenada to collect non-perishable food items to be donated to those less fortunate. Please consider helping us fill up our drop off boxes, located at Criss Office Supply, Lake City Kids, Elizabeth Jones Library, 20/20 Eyecare and Rotech.
We are accepting all non-perishable food items between March 25 and April 8. Our Leos will be retrieving the boxes on April 8, and donating items collected to a couple of our local food pantries. This is their way of giving back to our community and learning firsthand about community service.

Our Leos are a great group of Grenada students in middle and high school and meet the first Monday of each month at Lost Pizza to have fun and hear from local leaders to come up with various projects they can participate in to help others. I am proud of these students and have help from fellow Lions including, Scott Nichols, Don Tartt Jr., Allison Ashmore and Helen Walters. If you have a student that would be interested in becoming a Leo, have them contact one of us and we would love to have more join our club.
We still have pecans and cashews left for sale available from any Lions Club Member, Criss Office Supply and Pap’s.
We can always use more people dedicated to serving others. Our Lions meet at noon twice a month on Wednesdays for lunch at Orleans Bistro. Our Leos will meet on April 8 next month, since the first Monday is Easter Monday. We plan to have Will Goff with Christmas in April talk to our group to see if they might be able to help that service project in any way.
