The Kirk Academy Raiderettes won two of three games in blowout fashion last week to improve to 5-4 overall on the season.
Action began last Monday with a road trip to face perennial power Madison-Ridgeland Academy. The girls lost a 62-28 decision to the Lady Patriots.
Last Tuesday, Kirk got revenge for an earlier loss at DeSoto (Ark.) School with a 57-34 decision and closed the week with a 62-28 win over Class AAA rival Winston Academy.
Against MRA, Kirk lost a 72-26 decision to the Lady Patriots.
Senior Charlee Grace Sultan led the scoring with 10 points. Classmates Charley Rose scored 6 points and Cecile Brister added 5 points. A fourth senior, Parker Avant had 5 points.
Against Winston, Avant led the scoring with 15 points. Charlee Grace Sultan and Rose both had 14 points. Brister scored 9 points. Joleigh Sultan had 3 points. Eria Rymes, Claire Thomas and Hydi Rose Holloway.
There were no point totals on the DeSoto School game.
