The Kirk Academy junior varsity girls team had a perfect 3-0 week recently with wins over Marshall Academy, Delta Academy and North Delta.
With the wins, Kirk improved to 11-4 on the season. Meanwhile, the boys went 2-1 to improve to 5-7.
The Raiderettes opened the week on Dec. 9, with a 27-15 decision over Marshall Academy.
Joleigh Sultan led all scorers with 17 points. Eva Rose, Rivers Osborne, Maggie Malone and Charlie Bowman each added 4 points.
Defense shined against Delta Academy as Kirk won a 37-3 decision on Dec. 11 in Marks.
A total of eight players scored, led by Claire Thomas with 10 points. Sultan scored 9 points and Osborne added 6 points. Erin Rhymes had 4 points. Mallory Mitchell, Malone, Bowman and Rose each scored 2 points.
The week ended on Dec. 12, with a 31-21 win over North Delta School.
Thomas led all scorers with 17 points, while Sultan finished with 11 points. Malone scored 2 points and Osborne added one point.
The Raiders won a 63-15 decision over Marshall Academy in Grenada to open the week.
Logan Carson led all scorers with 14 points and Russell Mims scored 12 points. Klayton Winter chipped in with 9 points, while Charlie Martinez added 5 points. Carter Willis, Wes Harville and Riley Beckham all had 4 points. Jack Cravens, Witt Cravens and Abe Moore scored 2 points apiece.
Against Delta Academy, the Raiders were on the short end of a 47-29 decision.
Carson again paced the Raiders with 11 points. Willis had 6 points, while Logan Welch and Moorman both scored 4 points. Cannon Ford also scored 4 points and Winter finished with 2 points.
The week ended with a 46-26 win over North Delta in Batesville.
Carson led all scorers with a game-high 24 points. Welch scored 9 points and Martinez added 5 points. Willis scored 4 points. Jack Cravens and Winter rounded out the scoring with 2 points apiece.
