A total 25 crosss country teams from across the state gathered at Emmanuel Baptist Church for the 8th Annual Kirk Academy Invitational.
The high school girls finished third in the final team standings.
Senior Charley Rose was the highest finisher for the Raiderettes, placing fifth with a time of 21:10. Junior Jana Mims was 12th with time of 23:07, followed by senior Parker Avant came in 21st place with a time of 24:46. Sophomore Claire Thomas finished in 42nd place with a time 27:50, while sophomore Addyson Kilgore was 43rd with a time of 27:57.
In the junior varsity girls, sixth-grader Callie Jean Brown was 15th with a time of 15:27 in the 3K race. Seventh-grader Charlie Brooke Bowman was 48th with a time of 18:54. Sophie Beck, a sixth-grader, was 55th with as time of 19:51.
Sophmore Cullom Crowe was the highest boys’ finisher coming in fifth place with a time of 18:19.
Junior Carter Mattox finished in 12th place with a time of 19:28. Freshman Jack Cravens came in 16th place with a time of 19:54 followed by classmate Dawson Campbell, who was 32nd with a time of 21:25.
Sophomore Will King was 41st with a time of 22:17. Junior Tanner Wilbourn had a time of 24.00, which was good fore 61st place.
Kirk took part in the MRA Invitational Monday. Results were not available as of press time.
