Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Keiko Yamamoto Lane, 86, of Grenada, who died on Monday, Jan. 6, in Grenada. Burial followed in Milligan Springs Cemetery near Stewart. The Rev. John Jacks and the Rev. Randy Bridges officiated. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, and from noon until service time on Sunday, Jan. 12, at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.
Mrs. Lane was born in Nagasaki, Japan on March 1, 1938. She married the love of her life, George Edward Lane Jr., on April 7, 1958, and they were married for 53 years upon his death. She was a member of Stewart Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Her parents; her husband, George Edward Lane Jr., and one son, James Lane Sr., preceded Mrs. Lane in death.
Survivors include, one son, George Eddie Lane (Shirley) of Duck Hill; four grandchildren, James Lane Jr, Christopher Lane, Olivia Lane and Emily Lane and three great grandchildren, Conner Lane, Isabella Lane and Madison Stygles.
Pallbearers were Chris Lane, Donnie Bridges, Ben Hill, Randy May, Jonathon Velcek and Conner Lane.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Stewart Baptist Church, 146 Big Black Rd., Stewart, MS 39767.
