Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in the Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel in Grenada for Katie Lee Morman, 88, of Duck Hill, who died on Monday, June 3, in Grenada. Burial followed in Red Hill Cemetery near Duck Hill. Bro. Tim Lane officiated. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, at Mortimer National Funeral Home.
Katie was born on Nov. 1, 1935, in Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Thomas Woods and the late Susie Simmons Woods. She was a loving wife and mother. She was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Richard Morman, preceded Katie in death.
Survivors include, her two sons, Gary Richard Morman of Duck Hill and Manly Morman of Grenada; two sisters, Peggy Wooten of Kennesaw, Ga., and Rosie Mitchell of Grenada; one grandson, Garrett Morman of Brandon and a host of nieces and nephews.
