Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for Kathy Loftin Permenter, 68, of Starkville, formerly of Vaiden, who died on Friday, Dec. 26, in Jackson. Burial followed in Winona Garden of Memory. The Rev. David Cain officiated and was assisted by Mr. Tally Noah. Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home.
Her parents, Doc and Laura Loftin; two sisters, Reida Bouchillon and Reba Summers, and her beloved son, Derrick “Bobo” Stewart, preceded Kathy in death.
Survivors include, her loving husband, Eddie Permenter; her children, Dale (Meghan) Stewart, Eddie (Patti) Permenter and Daphne (Steve) Fulce; her siblings, Kim (Rita) Loftin, Kenny (Brenda) Loftin and Ruth (Ken) Burrell; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
