A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, in Woodlawn Cemetery for Mrs. Julia Arnold Lambert, 81, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, Sept. 28, at her residence. The Rev. Daniel Herring officiated.
Judy was born on Dec. 18, 1943, in Memphis, Tenn., the daughter of the late John Wesley Arnold Sr. and the late Neva Grisham Arnold. She earned a degree in education from Delta State University and taught dance while she was a student at Delta State. Judy shared her love for dance by teaching ballet and tap to scores of children through the years. She also taught business and typing at West Panola Academy and Kirk Academy.
Judy spent many years as a bookkeeper in their family business, Arnold’s Furniture. She possessed a keen eye for decorating and design and used this to her advantage through her work at Arnold’s and in her own home. A gifted conversationalist, Judy never met a stranger and had the ability to put those in her presence at ease. Judy was of the Methodist faith and her sweet, kind spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Jerry Lambert, and one brother, Dale Arnold, preceded Judy in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Tara Rotenberry of Grenada; her son, John Rotenberry of Grenada; two brothers, Wesley Arnold (Glenda) of Ellisville and Thomas “Laban” Arnold of Oakland; niece, Leslie Arnold, and nephew, Todd Arnold (Alex).
