Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church near Coffeeville for Mrs. Judith Marie Landreth Hill, 74, of Coffeeville, who died on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at her daughter’s residence. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from noon until service time on Friday, Aug. 29, at New Hope Baptist Church.
Marie was born on Oct. 13, 1950, in Baldwyn, the daughter of the late John Hyde Landreth and the late Jessie Blanche Mabry Landreth. She worked for a number of years at Holley Carburetor in Water Valley and later as a home health nurse’s aide. Above all, she was a devoted farmer’s wife and a loving mother, who always went above and beyond to meet the needs of her beloved family.
In her spare time, Marie enjoyed sewing and working in her flower and vegetable gardens. A faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church, Marie served as the church pianist for many years, using her gifts to glorify the Lord and bless her church family. She will be remembered for her kindness, devotion and the love she poured into every part of her life.
In addition to her parents, her husband of 50 years, John T. Hill, preceded Marie in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Jennifer Brooks of Scobey; son, Jeremy Hill (RaeDena) of Tillatoba; three grandchildren, Ashlyn Williams (Drew), Lancaster Hill and Preston Brooks, and a great grandson, Remington Williams.
Richard Bennett, Danny Dorris, Dennis Dorris, Kyley Holloway, Dereck Redwine and Ray Schmitz III honored Marie by serving as pallbearers.
