A private burial was held on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, in Elliott Baptist Church Cemetery for Mrs. Joyce Ann Walker Boozer, 82, of Grenada, who died on Wednesday, Jan. 21, in Memphis, Tenn. The family received friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada.
Joyce was born on June 24, 1943, in Arkansas, the daughter of the late Donald and the late Winifred Rose Walker. She was a devoted homemaker and loved being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking delicious meals for those she loved. In her younger years, she enjoyed four-wheeling and mud riding with friends. She was a member of the Grenada Church of God.
In addition to her parents, her husband, James Alvin Boozer Sr., and two sons, Jeffrey Ronald Boozer and Jesse Eugene Boozer, preceded Joyce in death.
Survivors include, her four sons: Joe Darrell Boozer (Karina) of Grenada, James Alvin Boozer Jr. (Tonya) of Marshall, Ark., Jeremy David Boozer of Grenada and Austin Boozer of Houston, Texas; three sisters: Donna Hendrix of Wynne, Ark., Debbie Wright of Heber Springs, Ark., and Patricia Clark; three brothers: David Walker of Little Rock, Ark., Sam Barkley and Ricky Barkley; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
