Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Ms. Joan Dulaney Denley, 77, of New Albany, formerly of Grenada, who died on Saturday, Jan. 24. Burial followed in Spring Hill Cemetery in Webster County. The Rev. Jerry Bishop officiated. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at McKibben and Guinn.
Joan was born on March 2, 1948, in Grenada, the daughter of the late Max Dulaney and the late Fannie Lee Avery Dulaney. She worked for many years at Pennaco Hosiery in Grenada and later worked as a caregiver for the elderly. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers as well as reading and putting puzzles together. She was a member of Keownville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her sisters: Katie Lee Gulledge, Betty Jean Dulaney and Catherine Cole, and brothers, Guy Hendricks and Jack Hendricks, preceded Joan in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Lisa French (Burt) of Carrollton; son, Bill Denley (Leslie) of New Albany; eight grandchildren: Jacob French, Dustin Denley, Brandi Denley, Amber Meads, Misti Blankenship, James Brandon Hill, Eli Hill and Kaylee Hill, and two great grandchildren, Cheyenne Spalding and Penelope Denley.
George Breedlove, Dustin Denley, Jacob French, Eli Hill, J.B. Hill and Jacob Lee honored Joan by serving as pallbearers.
