Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Mr. Jason Lee Williams Jr., 22, of Duck Hill, who died on Monday, Aug. 14, in Birmingham, Ala. Burial followed in Duck Hill Cemetery.
Jason was born on Sept. 19, 2000, in Grenada, the son of Jason Lee Sr. and Loretta Dannette Berryhill Williams. An avid outdoorsman, Jason enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes. He was an old soul and enjoyed the simple things in life; he always took time to go and visit those that he loved. He especially enjoyed the time he got to spend with his twin nephews.
While Jason’s health may have been a deterrent to some things in life, we all agree that he got the most out of each and every day he lived. His memory and legacy will live on in the lives of those who loved him for many years to come.
His grandmothers, Hazel Laster and Judy Williams; great grandmother, Mary Belle Turner, and a special cousin, Lesley Berryhill, preceded Jason in death.
Survivors include, his mother, Dannette Williams of Elliott; father, Jason Lee Williams Sr. of Scobey; sister, Hazel Trull (Jason) of Grenada; brother, Justin Williams of Duck Hill; grandfathers, William Berryhill Sr. (Susan) of Nesbit and Elvin Williams of Texas; two nephews, Matthew Trull and Jackson Trull, and a host of cousins, family and friends, who loved Jason dearly.
Pallbearers were Bradley Berryhill, Brandon Huff, Robert Kendall, David Logan, Patrick Williams and Payton Williams.
