It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jamie Alise Plummer, 26, of Cleveland, who departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, in Jackson.
Jamie was born on March 17, 1998, in Flowood, the daughter of James Jeffrey Plummer and Amy Clemons Plummer. She spent a portion of her life in Grenada before moving to Cleveland with her mother. Jamie’s life was a testament to resilience and love, radiating joy and warmth to all who knew her. A passionate movie fan, she especially loved watching “Madagascar II.” Jamie enriched the lives of her family and caregivers — Stephanie, Annie, Joyce, Dorothy, Melida, Tim and many others — that provided her with gentle and loving care.
Her maternal grandfather, James Clemons; one brother, James Jeffrey Plummer Jr., and her brother-in-law, Price Whatley, preceded Jamie in death.
Survivors include, her mother, Amy Clemons Plummer of Cleveland; her father, James Jeffrey Plummer Sr. of Grenada; her sisters, Hayley Horn Brooks (Matthew) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Aubrey Plummer Whatley of Cleveland; one brother, Kent Plummer of Columbus, and her sister, Lakon Plummer Evans of Coffeeville. She is also survived by her paternal grandparents, John and Kay Plummer of Winona; her maternal grandmother, Judy Clemons of Benoit, and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins that will cherish her memory.
Friends and family gathered to honor Jamie’s life from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Blair Batson Children’s Hospital, 2500 N. State St., Jackson, MS 39216, or the UMMC Critical Care Unit.
