A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona for James W. “Jimmy” Saunders II, 60, of Winona, who died on Saturday, Nov. 15, at his residence. A visitation was held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the funeral home.
Mr. Saunders was a member of Old Rice Road Baptist Church in Madison.
His father, Augustin Lucas “Gus” Saunders Jr.; mother, JoAnn Smith Saunders, and his brother, Augustin Lucas “Al” Saunders III, preceded Mr. Saunders in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Carla Lott Saunders; sons, Joseph “Joey” Murchison (Miki) of Memphis, Tenn., and Dustin Lucas of Winona; sisters, Cathy Whittenburg (Ed) of Haslet, Texas, and Laurie Hurst (David) of Brandon; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces.
