Graveside services with military honors were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton for Mr. James E. “Jimmy” Johnson, 72, of Winona, who died on Friday, July 29, at his residence. The Rev. Lanny Haley officiated.
Mr. Johnson was born on April 13, 1950, in Carroll County. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran.
His father, J.T. “Blue” Johnson, and one brother, Jeff Bailey, preceded Mr. Johnson in death.
Survivors include, his fiancé, Tammy Whitmire of Winona; daughters, Etta Johnson (Scott) of Germantown, Tenn., Roxanna Sarver (Russ) of Littleton, N.H., Jamie Johnson of Eupora and Candice Kilgore (Mitt) of Grenada; mother, Martha Bailey of McCarley; sister, Renee Howard of McCarley; two brothers, Danny Johnson of Eldorado, Ark., and Donny Johnson of McCarley; seven grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
