Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, at First Baptist Church Coffeeville for Mrs. Ida Mae Edwards Jones, 96, of Coffeeville, who died on Saturday, Jan. 31, at her residence. Burial followed in Coffeeville Cemetery. The Rev. Craig Baker and the Rev. Truman Scarborough officiated. The family received friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at First Baptist Church Coffeeville.
Ida Mae was born on March 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Lionel and the late Clara Robbins Edwards. She retired as a supervisor with Kellwood in Coffeeville. She loved spending time outdoors and keeping her yard manicured. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Coffeeville.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Aven Jones; her sister, Oonna Denley, and her brother, Edward L. Edwards, preceded Ida Mae in death.
Survivors include, her son, Mike Jones (Judy) of Winona; grandsons, Philip Jones (Samantha) of Winona and Wesley Jones (Shealyn) of Brandon, and six great grandchildren: Lilian Jones, Eli Jones, Avie Mae Jones, Libbie Jo Jones, Bryson Carter and Reagan Carter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to First Baptist Church Coffeeville.
