Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada for Miss Hetty Jean Williamson, 87, of Grenada, who died on Monday, May 1, in Charleston. Burial followed in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The Rev. T. Hill and the Rev. Bill Lee officiated.
Jean was born on April 14, 1936, in Carroll County, the daughter of the late Theodore Bilbo and the late Alma Corley Williamson. She was a longtime employee of Pennaco Hosiery in Grenada. She was also a member of Central Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was devoted to her twin sister, family and friends.
In addition to her parents, one sister, Margie Williamson Heath, and one brother, Sam Williamson, preceded Jean in death.
Survivors include, her twin sister, Betty Dean Tribble; one brother, Ken Williamson (Ellen) and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nephews and one great-great niece that loved her and will miss her very much.
Wayne Harlow, Vince Havens, Joel Hill, Kaler Hill, Rylan Hill and Rex Schwalenburg honored Jean by serving as pallbearers and carried her to rest in the Woodlawn Memorial Park.
