Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in Forrest Memorial Park near Batesville for Mr. Henry James “Jim” Legge Jr., 62, of Grenada, who died on Sunday, April 30, in Grenada. The Rev. James Melton officiated. The family received friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at McKibben and Guinn.
Jim was born on May 31, 1960, in Senatobia, the son of the late Henry James Sr. and the late Mary Virginia Woolfolk Legge. He enjoyed a 37-year career with Walmart having served as the manager of the Grenada store since 1991. He was a devoted Ole Miss Rebel fan and enjoyed traveling to Disney with his family at every opportunity.
In addition to his parents, one sister, Patty Jamison, preceded Jim in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Lisa Legge; two daughters, Emily Legge and Kaitlyn Legge, both of Grenada; sister, Becky Holden of Coldwater; brothers, Jeff Legge (Cindy) of Batesville and Johnny Legge of Coldwater and a host of nieces and nephews.
