The Grenada High School freshmen and junior varsity teams both improved to 2-0 on the season with wins over Oxford at Charger Stadium.
In the opener, the freshmen won an 18-14 decision, while the JV Chargers blanked Oxford 26-0.
Duncan Pitcock had a 55-yard scoring pass to Braylon Bell, while Tyler Edwards hauled in a 12-yard scoring pass from Caris Tyler. The final touchdown was a 40-yard touchdown run from Desmond Harbin.
Junior Varsity
Christian Ewing scored on a 15-yard pass from Corey Hawkins and a 10-yard run. K.J. Jones scampered 75 yards for a touchdown. The Chargers added a 70-yard fumble return from Austin Moore
The two-point conversion was a pass from Caleb Smith to Samiron Cooley.
Grenada traveled to South Panola Monday for a pair of games. Results were not available as of press time. The Chargers host Clarksdale on Sept. 22 at 5:30 p.m.
