Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. D.W. Clark, 84, of Poplar Creek, who died on Tuesday, January 24, in Jackson. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. The Rev. Randy Bridges officiated. Visitation was held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, and from noon until service time on Friday, Jan. 27, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Clark was born on Aug. 12, 1938, in Poplar Creek, the son of the late Victor Brooks and the late Mamie Lou Walker Clark. He was a farmer and United States Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Danny Clark.
Survivors include, one son, D.W. “Chip” Clark Jr. of Poplar Creek; sisters, Gertrude Day and Rachael McCarroll, both of Winona; brothers, Kimbrough Clark of Winona and Dewitt Clark of Poplar Creek; special friend, Becky Collins, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Gerald Garrett, Jason Michau, Jeff Stafford, Forrest Clark, Jeff Boyette and DeWayne Donahoo.
