Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, in New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Winona for Doris Hood Tidwell, 80, of Winona, who died on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024. The Rev. Gene Richards officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.
Mrs. Tidwell was born on June 4, 1944, in Alabama, the daughter of the late Tom Peck and the late Ora Mae Cutcher Hood. She was a member of New Hope Methodist Church in Winona.
In addition to her parents, her husband, David “Sonny” Tidwell; four sisters and one brother, preceded Mrs. Tidwell in death.
Survivors include, her daughter, Karen Tidwell Carter of Carrollton; two sons, Paul Lambert of Jay, Fla., and David D. Tidwell Jr. of Winona; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
