Memorial service plans were private for Mr. Donald Burdell Passer, 77, of Grenada, who died on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, in Tupelo.
Don was born on Sept. 5, 1948, in Grenada, the son of the late Burdell and the late Gretelle Nail Passer. He earned a degree in music education from Delta State University. Don enjoyed a long career as an educator and band director in Crossett, Ark.
Upon his return to Mississippi, he obtained his certification as an EMT and later worked as the head of security at Newsprint South. Ultimately, he retired to his family farm and enjoyed living a quiet life in the country.
Survivors include, his daughter, Judith Epstein of California; two sisters, June Sultan and Karen Kinard of Grenada; brother, Bob Passer of Grenada, and a host of nieces and nephews.
